I picked this imagine because the discussion of war photography has really brought an interest to me. I found that this captures the ultimate despair along with venerability of the subjects. It gives you a sense of compassion for what they are enduring. The visual placement and configuration of the people in the photograph let your eye wander, but also bring you right back to the main subject matter: the woman laying down in agony.
